Description: The proposed activities will inform clinicians of recent evidence from clinical trials on the efficacy and safety of TROP2-directed antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) in patients with progressive NSCLC, allowing them to quickly integrate new treatments into their practice when they become available. Clinicians will be updated on HER2 genomic alterations and apply appropriate testing methodologies per the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines for NSCLC. Furthermore, participants will receive education on the successful management of NSCLC, including managing brain metastases, optimal HER2-targeted ADC dosing, and monitoring approaches for treatment-related adverse events (AEs). Finally, the proposed activities aim to educate participants on the importance of targeting HER3 and using HER3-directed ADCs in the management of NSCLC. The initiative will also provide information on the efficacy and safety of these ADCs based on clinical trial data, as well as strategies for recognizing and minimizing treatment-related AEs to enhance therapy adherence and improve patient outcomes.

I am the medical director of a community oncology program in Southern California. I also serve as Alumni Specialty Director at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and as a Clinical Faculty Instructor at the University of California San Diego.

My clinical expertise extends to a wide variety of hematologic and oncologic disorders, and I constantly strive to contribute to the field with over 91 publications, 31 scientific abstracts, 21 oral presentations at national meetings, and multiple awards including first-place finishes at 3 national scientific poster competitions.

I view my ongoing journey as a series of unbelievable experiences that have enabled me to appreciate different values, cultures, and viewpoints while establishing a track record of excellence across multiple institutions. As a lifelong learner, I firmly believe in the statement, "To whom much is given, much is expected," and so I remain committed and highly involved in education, mentorship, leadership, and advocacy. I am frequently referenced on social media, television, and podcasts related to these interests. This has allowed me to fulfill my initial calling to be a compassionate and caring clinician, advocating for deeply-rooted principles of empathy, humility, dignity, and empowerment towards patients and colleagues. In my free time, I enjoy piloting planes, sailing, writing, sports, movies, travel, and spending time with my family.
